Frequently Asked Questions

8 common questions answered

What are the known NHTSA recalls for a 2019 Lexus GX 460?
The NHTSA records show 17 recall entries affecting the 2019 Lexus GX 460 across fuel pump, air bag, and label issues. Specifically, fuel pump-related recalls (4 entries) warn that a failing pump can cause an engine stall; air bag recalls (12 entries) address potentially defective inflators and improper inflation; one label recall covers incorrect load carrying capacity labels. These findings come from NHTSA recall bulletins and apply to affected build dates; Nalley Lexus Roswell can verify your vehicle using its VIN.
How do I check if my 2019 Lexus GX 460 has an open recall?
You can check your VIN on NHTSA.gov or bring your vehicle to Nalley Lexus Roswell and we will check it for free. Call Lexus customer service at 1-800-255-3987 or use NHTSA online lookup with your 17-digit VIN for authoritative status. To have us confirm and book repairs, schedule service online and our factory-trained technicians will perform a free VIN recall check.
How much does a 2019 Lexus GX 460 recall repair cost?
Manufacturer recall repairs are performed free of charge to the vehicle owner when covered by the recall. For the 2019 Lexus GX 460 the fuel pump and air bag recall remedies are provided by Toyota/Lexus at no cost and dealers will replace affected parts with improved components or corrected labels. If additional non‑recall repairs are needed, Nalley Lexus Roswell offers service specials and financing options so you can get service now and pay later.
Can I get my 2019 Lexus GX 460 recall fixed at an independent shop or do I need a dealer?
Recall repairs must be completed by an authorized dealer to ensure OEM parts and factory procedures are used and to preserve safety compliance. NHTSA and the manufacturer require the authorized remedy be installed exactly as specified; independent shops may not have the correct OEM parts, technical bulletins, or warranty reporting access. Nalley Lexus Roswell is a certified Lexus franchise dealer with factory-trained technicians and OEM parts; schedule service with us for guaranteed, free recall work.
How long does a 2019 Lexus GX 460 recall repair take?
Most manufacturer recall repairs for the 2019 Lexus GX 460 take between one and four hours, depending on parts availability and specific recall scope. Fuel pump or air bag module replacements are often completed the same day if the parts are in stock; interim notices were issued in 2020 and dealers will replace assemblies when remedy parts are available. To minimize wait time, please schedule service and check current lead times; we also post limited-time offers on our service specials.
Does an open recall affect my 2019 Lexus GX 460's trade-in or resale value?
An unresolved recall can lower buyer confidence and may negatively affect trade-in offers or resale price if buyers or dealers require recalls be completed first. Many franchised dealers and informed private buyers check NHTSA history during appraisal; resolving recalls at a certified dealer like Nalley Lexus Roswell protects your vehicle value and marketability. We provide free recall repairs and can assist with appraisal or trade-in questions — visit our trade-in page after service to maximize value.
Can I fail a state inspection because of an unresolved 2019 Lexus GX 460 recall?
An open safety recall itself is not always an automatic inspection failure, but certain recalled defects (like airbags that may not inflate) can render the vehicle unsafe and lead to enforcement actions depending on state rules. Because the fuel pump recall can cause engine stall and air bag recalls can increase injury risk, we strongly recommend completing recall repairs before inspection or sale. Nalley Lexus Roswell offers same-day VIN checks and free manufacturer recall repairs — schedule appointment today and ask about our service financing if needed.
