Frequently Asked Questions

8 common questions answered

What are the known NHTSA recalls for a 2020 Lexus LC 500?
The NHTSA records show 16 recalls affecting the 2020 Lexus LC 500, primarily involving fuel pump and fuel tank components and one stability control issue. Most entries are related to fuel pump or fuel tank defects that can cause engine stall or, in some cases, fuel leakage and a fire risk; one recall covers a brake booster pump issue that can disable stability control and braking assist. These recalls are documented by NHTSA and remedy actions are manufacturer-directed and performed free of charge at an authorized dealer.
How do I check if my 2020 Lexus LC 500 has an open recall?
You can check open recalls using your vehicle VIN on NHTSA.gov or bring your VIN to Nalley Lexus Roswell for a free check. If you prefer a hands-off option, call Lexus customer service at 1-800-255-3987 or contact our service team and we will verify your VIN and advise next steps. To bring the vehicle in, please schedule service online and our factory-trained technicians will confirm any open recalls and complete repairs at no cost.
How much does a 2020 Lexus LC 500 recall repair cost?
Manufacturer recall repairs for the 2020 Lexus LC 500 are free of charge when performed under the recall program. Nalley Lexus Roswell uses OEM parts and factory-trained technicians to complete recall work at no cost to you; we also offer service financing should you need additional non-covered maintenance. Check current offers on our service specials page if you are combining recall work with routine maintenance or paid repairs.
Can I get my 2020 Lexus LC 500 recall fixed at an independent shop or do I need a dealer?
Recall repairs must be performed by an authorized dealer to ensure OEM parts and manufacturer procedures are used; we strongly recommend having recall work done at a certified Lexus dealership like Nalley Lexus Roswell. Independent shops may not have direct access to manufacturer remedy parts or the required warranty documentation and technical bulletins; dealership repairs preserve safety compliance and your vehicle warranty records. To ensure the correct remedy and documentation, schedule service at our Roswell service center where factory-trained technicians will handle the recall correctly and free of charge.
How long does a 2020 Lexus LC 500 recall repair take?
Repair time varies by recall component, but most fuel pump or fuel tank replacements are completed within a few hours to a day; stability control inspections and replacement may take similar time depending on parts availability. Nalley Lexus Roswell will provide an accurate estimate when you schedule appointment and bring your VIN; we prioritize recall work and will advise if a loaner or alternative transportation is available. Remedies listed by NHTSA were distributed on varying timelines; for the fastest service, contact our team and check our current service specials for convenience options.
Does an open recall affect my 2020 Lexus LC 500's trade-in or resale value?
An unresolved recall can negatively impact trade-in and resale value because many dealers and private buyers check NHTSA records and prefer vehicles with documented, completed remedies. Nalley Lexus Roswell can confirm recall completion and provide proper documentation to protect the vehicle's value; if you are considering selling, get a complimentary VIN check and visit our trade-in appraisal page. Completing recall repairs at an authorized dealer preserves resale appeal and avoids potential insurance or inspection complications down the line.
Can I fail a state inspection because of an unresolved 2020 Lexus LC 500 recall?
Some recalls involve safety systems that can cause a vehicle to fail inspection or raise issues with insurance claims; unresolved stability control or major engine-stall risks may be flagged during inspections. Because the NHTSA-classified defects (fuel pump, fuel tank, stability control) can impact drivability and safety, completing the free recall repairs at Nalley Lexus Roswell helps ensure your vehicle meets state safety requirements. If you have inspection concerns, schedule service and our technicians will inspect and perform necessary recall work so your vehicle remains road-legal and safe.
