Is the oil filter replaced every time a 2024 Lexus LC has its oil changed? The oil filter should be replaced with the oil on the 2024 Lexus LC.
The filter captures debris carried by the oil and can load over time. Replacing it with the oil keeps the fresh oil from passing through an already loaded filter. Service timing is determined by the manufacturer's maintenance schedule and the vehicle's service history.
- Filter matched to the 5.0 L V8 engine
- New drain plug gasket or washer where used
- Leak check after the engine is run
What is included in an oil filter replacement on a 2024 Lexus LC?An oil filter replacement includes an engine-matched filter, a renewed drain plug gasket or washer where required, and a post-service leak check.
The filter is replaced alongside the oil. After installation, the engine is run so the filter seal can be checked under operating conditions. This process supports a complete oil and filter service for the 2024 Lexus LC.
- Filter matched to the fitted engine
- New sealing gasket or washer where applicable
- Inspection for leaks at the filter seal
What happens if the oil filter on a 2024 Lexus LC is not replaced?A loaded filter can open its bypass valve and allow unfiltered oil to circulate through the 2024 Lexus LC engine.
The engine continues receiving oil, but it is no longer receiving filtered oil. That can quietly reduce the filter's protective function. An oil-pressure warning or engine noise that is unusual should prompt inspection rather than delaying service.
- Debris remains held in an aging filter
- The bypass valve may allow unfiltered circulation
- Oil may darken quickly after a change
Does a 2024 Lexus LC need a specific oil filter?Yes, the filter is matched to the 2024 Lexus LC's 5.0 L, eight-cylinder V8 engine, and filters are not interchangeable across engines.
The correct filter supports the engine's design and sealing requirements. Nalley Lexus Roswell fits the filter to the engine actually installed in the vehicle, without relying on a filter intended for another engine.
- Vehicle engine: 5.0 L V8
- Filter selected for the fitted engine
- Seal checked after the engine is run
Can the oil be changed on a 2024 Lexus LC without changing the filter?Oil can be changed separately, but the 2024 Lexus LC's filter should be replaced alongside the oil.
The filter holds debris carried by the oil, and stretching it across two oil changes allows a loaded filter to remain in service longer. Once the bypass valve opens, the engine receives oil without filtration. The manufacturer's maintenance schedule and service history help determine timing.
- Fresh oil works with a fresh filter
- Loaded filters may trigger bypass flow
- Filter replacement is part of this service
